Exeter Poetry Festival Competition 2017

Last year we ran a small competition asking entrants to come up with an imaginative title for an as yet unwritten poem. Ian Beech won with Einstein’s Theory of Relatives.

This year we would like you to write the first two lines of that poem, using Ian’s title. The competition will be judged by Annie Fisher and the winner will be notified by the end of October. The result will be displayed on the website.

Each entry costs only £1 and the number of entries is unlimited with the correct fee. Entries may be handed to Alasdair Paterson, Chrissy Banks or Jan Dean at any Festival event along with your name and a contact telephone number and email.

The first prize is £50, the second a voucher for a meal for two at the wonderful City Gate in Exeter. Thanks to Robin the City Gate’s manager. If you haven’t been there recently, pop in to the Broadsheet launch and see their new makeover.
