Exeter Poetry Festival 2016: Press Release
Exeter Poetry Festival, 3rd to 9th October 2016. This year we are going back to our roots, offering the best the West Country poetry scene has to offer, while inviting to Exeter some special guests from further afield.
Poets appearing at various venues from Monday to Sunday include Hannah Silva, Tim King and Mantie Lister; a variety of West Country poets featuring in the Broadsheet magazine, launching on Tuesday; South African poet Eliza Kentridge, who reads from her latest award-winning collection and is in dialogue with psychoanalyst and neuropsychologist Mark Solms; five individual poets recently published by Indigo Dreams; Annie Freud and Penelope Shuttle in a double bill; four recently published Devon poets reading from their new collections and Exeter’s Mincinglake Poets. The Poetry Slam is our grand finale on Sunday night.
If you want stimulus for writing yourself, come and design a poster poem (adults and children) or join the poetry workshop on Archetypes with Faber poet Julia Copus.
