BODMIN MOOR POETRY FESTIVAL

POETRY WORKSHOP

17th JANUARY 2016

Bodmin Moor Poetry Festival is pleased to announce our latest Poetry Workshop Day on Sunday 17th January 2016.

Wake up from the Xmas/New Year slumbers with a splash as we welcome

Falmouth poet Caroline Carver who will present a watery workshop

‘The Sea speaks with the vocabulary of Stone’.

Caroline has just published her fifth collection, Fish Eaters from Plymouth University Press.  She has won many prizes, including the National Poetry Competition, and is a Hawthornden Fellow.  She is currently Poet-in-Residence with the Marine Institute, Plymouth University.  www.poetrypf.co.uk/carolinecarverpage.shtml

The workshop will take place at Terre Verte Contemporary Art Gallery, Altarnun, near Launceston, PL15 7SJ  www.richeart.co.uk 01566 880405

Works of art will be floating around us as we write!

Workshop will start at 11.30 am with a break for a light buffet lunch, then continue until around 3.15pm.  There will then be a short reading by Caroline and a read-around of poems by anyone who wants to join in.  This could be a poem produced during the workshop or any poem on the theme of water.

Please book a place in advance by emailing or calling David Woolley – david.westwords@clara.co.uk  0781 263 7113 – places will be limited.

The workshop will cost £12 or £10 for Students/Unwaged including lunch.

BMPF would like to thank Arts Council England Lottery Fund for its financial support, and Richard Sharland for hosting this event
