Uncut Poets – 3rd December 2015 -7.30pm – City Gate Hotel, Exeter – with John Greening
Uncut’s last congregation of the year has been moved from its usual ‘last Thursday of the month’ spot to the 3rd December. It has also transferred temporarily back to the City Gate Hotel (Cellar Bar). Our guest is John Greening, whose most recent publications include ‘To the War Poets’ (Carcanet) and ‘Poetry masterclass’ (Greenwich Exchange). John reviews for the TLS and has won several major honours including an Arvon Prize, the Bridport Prize, a Cholmondeley Award, a Hawthornden Fellowship and a Scottish Arts Council Award. He is also a graduate of Exeter University.
There will be the usual 10 open mic spots of 5 minutes each. Anyone interested in one of these should inform Alasdair Paterson on email or via Facebook or leave a text on 07783 734523. The evening will be introduced by Liz Adams and one other, who may or may not be Alasdair, depending on circumstances. Admission is £5 (£3 open mic and concessions). The evening starts at 7.30.
