Recent books by Devon poets #1 – ‘Lifesaving Poems’ edited by Anthony Wilson

As we approach this year’s Exeter Poetry Festival and prepare to announce the line-up for 28th September to 4th October 2015 we’ll be posting details of some recent books by Devon-based poets.

Where better to start than this bumper anthology – ‘Lifesaving Poems’ – edited by Exeter’s own Anthony Wilson published this Spring by Bloodaxe.

Featured among the hundred and more poets from around the world are several resident in or associated with Devon including Hilary Menos, Andy Brown, Lawrence Sail, Alasdair Paterson, Christopher Southgate and Ann Gray.

Beginning as a notebook and becoming a blog, Anthony has selected poems that matter to him and beginning there, explains why they should matter to us.

We guarantee you won’t finish the volume before buying at least another by one of the featured writers so resist this purchase if funds are limited!
